In the first part, applied linear quadratic (LQ) differential game theory to derive linear control laws for orbit pursuit-evasion (PE) problem and extended LQ game theory to nonlinear PE game using the state-dependent Riccati equation (SDRE) method. In the second part, applied linear quadratic dual control method and information-weighted LQG method to improve observability of spacecraft relative motion when angles-only navigation and continuous-thrust maneuvers are used for rendezvous.
