dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between leader development activities and leadership evaluations of cadets attending U.S. Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Cadet Summer Training Advanced Camp (AC). The Cadets are evaluated on their leadership attributes and competencies while demonstrating confidence in the skills and military operations essential at the tactical level. The Cadets completed the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT), Field Leaders Reaction Course (FLRC), 12-mile road march, Basic Rifleman Marksmanship (BRM) and Land Navigation Written Test/Practical Exercise. CBRN/ TC3 (First Aid), Platoon Operations, Patrol Base Operations, and Call for Fire. The three research questions were answered based on an analysis of the survey responses. The researcher used both descriptive and inferential statistics to analyze the data. Based on the analysis of the data from this study, the data suggested that there was correlation between group physical fitness training, Night Land Navigation training, BRM, and cadet’s leadership evaluation. The findings revealed that there was a statistical significance between APFT, Land Navigation Written Test/Practical Exercise, BRM, 12-mile Ruck March and the cadet’s leadership evaluation. Recommendations for further research studies on the correlation between leadership development activities and overall leadership evaluation rating. | en_US |
