Abstract

Metal additive manufacturing is an emerging alternative to traditional manufacturing. While several systems currently exist within the realm of metal 3D printing, there is room for further innovation and development to progress this field. Existing systems face their own drawbacks, primarily cost and complexity of operation. Currently, there is no mainstream system that offers low-cost and user-friendly operation to enable more widespread usage of metal additive manufacturing.
