Today, with the development of modern civilization, the pursuit of product appearance has never ceased. However, to design a visually compelling product for the majority is a challenge for designers or companies. By studying aesthetics impression in product design, emotional design, history and case studies, this thesis will give a definition of a visually compelling prod- uct and conduct a methodology of designing a visually compelling product. In this study, it is assumed that visual focusing points (VFPs for short) are checkpoints of visually compelling products. Designers are able to design a visually compelling product by applying the VFPs to products. Finally, as an achievement, this thesis will provide a universal guideline for the design procedure.en_US
